Who is Ca’ D’oro
The fabulous palace along the Grand Canal, once the house of the Contarini family, was purchased by Baron Franchetti in late 1800’s and completely restored to host the Baron’s incredible and eclectic collection of Art. It was eventually donated to the Italian State and it became a public museum.
We will meet Elisabetta Pasqualin, responsible at Ca’ D’Oro for the museum department dedicated to education. Ca’ D’Oro is one of the most amazing museums in Venice, because of the masterpieces it contains, because of the originality of the building itself, and, last but not least, because of its location. And it is one of those places that children enjoy the most in town, thanks to its peculiarity but also thanks to the fantastic workshops that are frequently organized for them.
