Today’s chat see us meeting Alberto Toso Fei, Venetian journalist, writer and essayist. His books on the secret and legendary history of Venice, have become theatrical performances, works of art, installations, treasure hunts, tourist routes. Like a living time machine, with his storytelling he gives life to recitals, conferences-shows, TEDx, initiatives, events online and on social networks. Protagonist of cultural life in Venice, he is a point of reference for his history. Alberto Toso Fei is the narrator of Venice. And he will narrate Venice to us in one of the most fascinating restaurant of the whole city: Bistrot De Venise. We will meet up with the owner Sergio Fragiacomo, who for nearly 30 years has worked on the recovery of Venetian ancient recipes and cuisine, making it contemporary. And at the same time has turned his restaurant into a cultural hub for writers, poets and painters.
Who is Alberto Toso Fei
Venetian since 1351, Alberto Toso Fei comes from an ancient family of Murano glassmakers. He is a journalist, writer and essayist translated into several languages. His books on the secret and legendary history of Venice, born from the recovery of the oral tradition, have become theatrical performances, works of art, installations, treasure hunts, tourist routes.
