Tabarro San Marco: the ancient round cape from Venice

Description

We will meet Monica Daniele, a milliner, of Tabarro San Marco who creates totally by hand the typical Venetian Tabarri and hats. In the field of clothing, the word tabarro indicates a man’s flared cloak that has very distant origins. Made of cloth, thick and heavy, dark in color, usually black, it has a single lacing point under the chin and is kept closed by throwing one end over the opposite shoulder in order to wrap it around the body.
