Venice is a magical city that steals everyone’s heart! How can you not fall in love with its uniqueness, its immense artistic and cultural heritage and also its millenary cuisine, rich in flavors of all kinds? 

The Venetian cuisine is one of the most varied in the world, thanks to the many influences that have enriched it over the centuries. The flavors of the sea and the earth come together to create recipes with a unique taste, which are able to amaze even the most refined palates. This is why it is unimaginable to be able to try and taste every single typical dish during only one weekend in Venice: a whole month would not be enough to say that you have tasted them all at least once. 

The lagoon cuisine is a riot of typical dishes: a succession of pastas, risottos, fried fish and meat roasts that deserve to be tasted. 

And who better than a local Food Blogger to discover the Venetian Food culture and the people who talk about its beauty every day?

Beauty enjoyed in a particular way by many international writers who have told about it in their own wordslocking in this way its memory forever and leaving something of themselves too. 

And dozens of Venetian writers have dedicated novels, essays, aphorisms, poems, thoughts on paper to their city, making it immortal. 

At Lunch with the Author during the Live in Venice week we will meet some of the most famous contemporary artists, Venetians and non-Venetians, who live in Venice, love the city and write about it in their books and we will do so exploring Venice Food, each day meeting the people behind those dishes: the best restaurants, osterie and bacaro that the city can offer!
